I am interested in how physiology shapes and interacts with life history traits and vice versa. I will be using the smaller tea tortrix moth (Adoxophyes honmai) as a model to see whether physiological adaptations to insecticides have an impact on their life history traits. These moth larvae have small bodies but big appetites for tea. A better understanding of the physiology and life history of these pest insects will allow us to manage their populations more successfully, saving the world (or just my daily survival) one cup of tea at a time. I am co-supervised by Dr. Christopher Moyes.
